I had a nice day at home yesterday. Shane is back at work, and it was my first day alone with the 3 kids. I must say that it was a really busy day. The time flew by!!
I woke Maggie up at 7am to eat. Then, I managed to get breakfast fixed, the kids dressed as well as myself, and tea cooking in the slow cooker by around 8am. Not too bad!!! I think I did about 4 loads of laundry as well throughout the day. I still love my cloth nappies though!!!
For my birthday, my parents had my old blog-The Wandering Woman-put into a book for me. It arrived in the mail yesterday. It is so awesome. The pictures are great! I love having my journals too-it is so special. I can look back on the things I wrote and see how I was working through all that we experienced in Vietnam. It is good to remind me of the growth that I have had in my life.
I also got a package from the states with some books that we have ordered. We ordered the boys a new Bible (the old one is falling apart) each. Now, from 6:30-6:45, they spend time on their beds with their Bible. They absolutely love it. I also got 2 books for myself. I cant wait to start reading them.
My friend, Tanya, came over yesterday for morning tea. Our boys love playing together. She brought me 2 boxes of girl clothes. A few weeks ago, my friend, Kerrie-Ann, gave me 3 boxes! Maggie is very blessed to have such nice clothes.
The boys played really well yesterday. They have a table for their train tracks, but for some reason they thought they would build the track on the floor. It was like they had been given a new toy!!! I managed to do a bit of "school" with Noah yesterday as well-which he loves. However, I found Dave in Maggie's bed. I was feeding her and noticed that Dave had disappeared. He was in her bed all covered up!!
I managed to get all the kids bathed by around 5. Maggie has started getting in the bath with the boys. Well-I hold her in the water and rinse her off while the boys are in the tub. Noah asked me why Maggie didnt have a wee like him!!!! Oh dear!!!
Shane came home around 5 and boy was it good to see him after a long day. He did come home to nice warm cookies-fresh out of the oven. They were meant to be for afternoon tea-but time just went by too quickly.
I was so tired by the end of the day. At around 9pm, I realized that I had been giving Dave Noah's antibiotic (Noah has an ear infection in both ears)! So, we had to wake Noah up and give him his antibiotic. I guess I am thankful I realized it in time!
Well, that about sums up most of my first day. I survived! YAY!
