North Carolina to South Carolina

On Monday, we got up early and headed to Columbia, South Carolina. Shane had to be at Columbia International University by noon to talk to some of the professors there. He had a good chance to meet and talk about future (a long way down the road) study. The Lord really answered our prayers about this and gave us some real clear answers about future study.

We then stayed Monday and Tuesday night with our old friends from Vietnam, Denny and Nicole! It was so great to see them again. Our boys love their girls (Madeline, Claire, Elaine, and Lauren). It was great to see our kids all playing together. Sometimes friends just stay friends forever and we certainly feel that way about Denny and Nicole. We were only in each other's lives for a short time...but man did we experience a lot of "life" in that short time. We are so thankful that the Lord brought them into our lives.

They took us to the zoo on Tuesday. Denny works at the University of South Carolina. So, we had lunch at their campus on Tuesday as well. We had such a good time with them, and we really do wished they lived closer!
