Well, I have many many pictures to post from our trip to Chicago and Texas, but I will have to get on to that later. I am trying my best to keep you guys all up to date with what we are doing and where we are going.
We are having a really great time in the States. Lately, though, the travel-the transitions-the changes-the mixed up routines have really been getting to me a bit. I post photos and posts about where we are and what we are doing, but there is a lot going on behind the scenes that you are simply not aware of (feelings, emotions, thoughts). We are having fun...but there are still struggles that is for sure.
I have been doing a lot of reading lately and I came across a poem that really sums things up.
How I wish things could just settle down for a while.
It seems as though each day, week, and month all but guarantees a change that my children and I have to adjust to.
You know, sometimes I just wish things could remain the same as they are right here, right now.
Everything isnt perfect--not by a long shot.
But at least I know what to expect today.
Tomorrow seems to bring only promises of more change.
Sometimes it's hard to pray. I know with my head that I am to trust You--"only trust" You, as an old hymn used to go.
So I will choose--willfully choose to do it anyway!
I will trust You.
I will continue to come to You with all my stuff.
I choose You.
We have been on the road now for 10 weeks...and we still have 10 weeks to go before we arrive in Asia (God willing that we are at 100% of our support level). Sometimes, I just want to be settled, but I also want to enjoy what we are experiencing now as well. So please keep us in your prayers. There are lots of prayer points, but I'm sure you probably all know them by now!
