Wow...What an awesome weekend we have had. I am not sure if a blog post can adequately describe it.
You know...these past few weeks I have really been struggling with our financial support raising. In my mind, I honestly could not "work out" how the Lord was going to bring in the support that we needed. I have been feeling discouraged for some time now. So many people have said they would support us-and they haven't. Many people keep saying that they have forgotten to turn in their support slip (that is quite frustrating for me-especially when they say it every time we see them). We have visited so many places and travelled so far with our family without seeing any fruit at all.
Well, I was reminded this weekend that we have a great God who does amazing things. We were so encouraged this weekend. Our faith was strengthened as we saw the Lord working-so humbling to know that our God is going to get us to Asia. Yes-it is going to happen and He is going to do it. God alone is in control.
It just blows my mind how the people at Gympie Baptist Church got behind us this weekend-coming alongside us to encourage, to pray, and to give. Wow! We are so humbled and so thankful!
Just when I felt myself wavering...I quietly hear God whispering to me...trust me...trust me! He is walking this road with us. There are so many things that one must learn on deputation. God is teaching us through all the disappointments...through all the discouragements...through all the hard work...He is teaching us that HE WILL DO IT-trusting is the only way!
"The God who calls you is faithful. He will do it." 1 Thessalonians 5:24

So true!! Thats when we need to step back from our earthly problems and focus on HIM who is bigger than the whole world!! If only I could figure out WHY (after all the times He's proven that I CAN trust Him) I keep trying to do it myself or why I forget to trust Him?
