On Monday, Shane woke up feeling a bit better, and yesterday he pushed through again and started eating a full meal. Today, he is worse and cannot eat and is running a fever. He is going to go and get blood work done. Actually, we will probably have them come to the house (yes they do that here!) so that he doesnt have to waste energy going out. We will have them test for Typhoid and Dengue and do a full blood count. Please pray that he gets better soon!
It has been really crazy since our teammates have arrived. Praise the Lord they were able to find a house quickly. They have not had a home of their own since well...I dont know when so they are super excited. This family...the Topping family....has 4 kids. Evie (the oldest) started Grade 1 at Noah's school today. Please just continue to remember them as they settle in. It is hard to remember what it was like. Moving to Indo was real easy for our family. Our house, car, and things were already waiting for us, and moving to another country was something we had done before! I try to remember what it was like when we moved to Vietnam, but that does seem like a lifetime ago! Plus-we didnt have kids then.
I have been babysitting the kids a lot too while they have been looking at houses. I sat in my rocking chair yesterday with Reuben (their 6 month old) while I gave him a bottle. You know....I am just so happy for the stage I am at right now and for our kids. My babies were nice when they were babies, but now that we are saying good-bye to diapers I am running forward and NOT looking back. I love it! It is good to know that I still have the touch though to put screaming babies to sleep, and I do love it. However, it felt great to give him back to his parents at the end of each time!!!!!
So nice feeling the contentment of our family and the 3 gifts God has given us. I wouldnt trade it for anything!
