Well, I am in the process of preparing to go to the States. On Friday, we are picking Shane's parents up from the airport. I was planning to fly to the states on Saturday, but there was a problem with the tickets! We got the tickets sorted out, and now I fly to Singapore on Monday. I get in at about midnight, then I fly out to the States at 5am on Tuesday morning. My flight goes through Hong Kong, Chicago, and finally to Atlanta. I am getting so excited!!!!1
You know....the past two weeks have been a bit rough. Language has been tough. I have had a hard time understanding a few concepts and that has made my progress slow, which has been difficult for me personally. This week has been much better, and I am looking forward to a break while I am in the States. I think the break will be good. I havent had a break in awhile because I have always continued to study while Shane travelled.
The kids are going good. Growing and learning. I have enjoyed the Fruits of the Spirit unit that I am teaching them, and I have enjoyed following our little schedule. Noah is great about keeping me on task. There is no stopping him! He keeps watch of the time, and sometimes he stresses me out a bit. I have tried explaining to him that we live in Asia...which means flexi time, but that boy is no Asian I tell you!
Dave has been going great! He has made some new friends here, and just enjoys playing. He has an awesome imagination, and has recently starting asking about following the Lord. Exciting for us! Maggie has entered the terrible twos. So independent....she even started dressing herself! And after ripping a hole in the side of her cot, she started sleeping in the big bed. That was so hard for me. She is my baby-I want her to stay in the baby cot!!!! The boys were in the big bed from 14 months so I have been putting things off with Maggie for awhile now!
Shane is going to continue to study while I am gone, and his parents are going to spend some time with the kids. Be thinking of him. Our load has been heavy the past few weeks, and he is a bit tired. We are going to take a bit of time to rest while Shane's parents are here. So that will be nice.
Our visa is still being processed. We will know of the progress later this month. We had problem with Dave's passport photos (as you know) so Shane's parents are bringing new ones (thanks Carlie)! Shanes will probably go to the embassy sometime after they get here to get Dave a new passport. Please pray for this.
Please pray for our teammates, who are now in Sinapore. There was a problem with their visa so they had to leave with only a few days notice. A bit stressful for them.
Well, it is late so I better go. I think this will be my last update before I leave for the States. I cant wait for the Wedding!!!!! I am so excited to see my family even if only for a week. I have scheduled posts happening so stay tuned! Hopefully, I will be able to post wedding photos when I am in the States. Thanks so much for all of your prayers....keeep them coming!
