Learning About Joy and Love

We have been continuing on with the Fruits of the Spirit. This week we have talked about Joy and focused on the story of Paul and Silas rejoicing while in prison. We even made our own prison with a little Paul and Silas. We have focused on James 1:2, "My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience." It has been good fun learning about Joy this week.

Here is a picture from our Love lesson last week. We focused a lot on Matthew 22:37-40, "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, and mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it, You shall love your neighbor as yourself." We spent a lot of time talking about how we can show love to the people around us. And we made little people to talk about how even though we are all different, we must love those around because God loves them too.
