We spent Friday night with Carla and Cooper at the beach and eating fish and chips. The boys had a blast, and it was really good to see them and spend time with them. It was hard saying good-bye, but we are looking forward to seeing Cooper again in a couple of weeks.
We had planned to go to the zoo on Saturday and then leave to go home in the afternoon sometime (we imagined that the boys would start to get tired around 2 or so in the afternoon)! On Thursday, when I arrived with the boys, we went ahead and decided to stay Saturday night as well. Boy am I glad we did!!! The boys outlasted us by far, and we were the ones ready to go at lunch!!! We ended up leaving after we saw EVERYTHING at around 4:30 or so in the afternoon, and the boys still didn't want to leave even then!
We are so thankful for this time away as a family before the baby comes! Life will be different when there are 5 of us-so it was a real special time for us all. It was good too to get away and just enjoy a break before we literally "hit the road" on deputation! We just received a copy of our brochure to look over one last time before it all goes to print. It looks really good and we are eager for them to actually arrive in the mail!
