The Circus

As many of you know, the kids have been struggling a bit (mostly Dave). Last week, we decided that we would try to do a few special things to make this more a special place. I know that may sound strange, but Dave is repeatedly asking to go home. We really want them to feel that this is home now, and that we have special times as a family here.

We found out a few weeks ago that the circus was in town. It was pretty good. Very small, but we had a great time. It was really inexpensive so we took our closest friends with us for a special treat. Our friends live in a village so they thought this was cool, and they really loved it. Their little girl, Octa, is 8 and she often plays with the boys (although I often see her with her hands over her ears...our boys must be a bit loud). Octa is on the Compassion list, but because she is a believer she is at the bottom of the list (they would rather reach out to others). So, we have kind of adopted her as our compassion child. We really love her!

Enjoy the photos!
