A whirlwind

Last night, we spent the night in a major city. The good news of the day was that it only took us 2 hours to get there. The bad news is that we had to pull over twice for me to get sick. I had the worst motion sickness that I have had in a long time! Needless to say, I ended up riding in front seat. Not really culturally appropriate!

We started off our day today at 6am. Our flight was suppose to leave at 8:30am but once we boarded the flight there was something wrong so we sat in the plane an hour before we took off.

Once we arrived at the airport in KL, we had to get on a bus to take us to the train station. We then took the train into the city where we got a taxi to the hotel. All of this with 3 kids, 2 carry ons, and 2 suitcases!!!! Oh yeah and a baby cot!!!!

It was 4pm when we got to the hotel. We checked in as quick as we could and they called another taxi to take us to the embassy. We got to the embassy at 4:45pm. There were so many people there! They told us we were too late for today and to come back tomorrow at 9:30am.

What a day! We are so tired. Kids are pretty had it to. And we get to do it again tomorrow.

One cool thing though...standing at the embassy wondering what we were going to do and just feeling a bit culturally had it...a rainstorm came up. It poured!!!! It was a huge thunderstorm. I thought of Hosea 6:3...the spring rains. Just made me feel near to the Lord and was a great comfort to me.

Well, I need sleep! Big day tomorrow and need lots of patience for the people, the culture, and last but not least...my kids!
