*I am so excited right now. A teacher at school bought a pig. He cut it up himself and is selling the pieces at school! YAY! We did not get in quick enough to get ribs or bacon (we have told him we will get some of that next month), but we did get a 4kg pork shoulder. Right now it is cooking in our oven!!!!!!!!!!!! YUM! I looked up one of Jamie Oliver's recipes last night and I am happy to report that the roast is looking great. We are having roast pork, carrots, and potatoes tonight. Then tomorrow, I am going to have a go at my own BBQ! Hopefully, for movie night tomorrow, we can have BBQ sandwiches.
*Speaking of cooking. I am missing my cookbooks. I know I kept some of them and that they are packed away, but there is no way to know where. Oh....I really miss my Jamie Oliver ones! Anyways...thats life I guess!
*I am missing a hair dryer right now. I know that sounds crazy, but I would love to use a hair dryer. I have a longing to use it. Shane says he always told the girls that if they wanted to go on a short term trip, then they have to leave their hair dryer. I feel like I've done the hard yards....I can use a squatty potty perfectly now. I can go with out warm showers. I can superglue my kid's head together when they are hurt. Now, I just want to use a hair dryer. What's wrong with that?
*Noah's class has just completed their book challenge. If everyone read 50 books this semester in his class, then Aunt Marilyn would take the entire class to pizza hut! Yes, we do have pizza hut. It is very expensive...and the pizza's are strange. Anyone like Thousand Island dressing as a base instead of tomato sauce? YUCK! Well, yesterday, they all completed their challenge. The sad thing is because of some heightened security concerns, Aunt Marilyn is unable to take them on a field trip. Noah was really upset because he wanted Shane to go on the field trip. Instead, Aunt Marilyn has ordered pizzas and is having it at her house (she lives on the school campus). Not the same....but at least he still gets some pizza, and he loves going to Aunt Marilyn's house. He says it is beautiful!
*Dave's virus is getting worse. And now I think Maggie has it. Oh please pray for us!
*Shane has the flu. He has been in bed all week. He tried to go to school today, but was back home after his first 2 hours at school. He doesnt have a high fever so I think it is really just the flu. If it was dengue, he would have extremely high fevers I think. Pray he gets better soon.
*School has been rough for me this week. Yesterday wasnt so bad, but I am struggling with all the vocabulary. I start lesson 15 in Book 2 today. Book 2 only has 20 lessons, and I feel that I am nowhere near ready for my book 2 test. Oh dear!
