Maggie's Dedication

Maggie had a pretty good night last night. She woke up at 2:30am coughing. She was coughing so hard that I had to feed her to try and get her to calm down and settle. It worked really well and she went back to sleep till about 6:30am when the boys woke her up. Compared to some nights we have had, she really didnt have too bad a night. We did decide, however, that we would take her back up to the hospital this morning (we can go straight to the children's ward) and just get her checked out. Because we were taking her out, Shane called Pastor Al and he said he would do the dedication early in the service.

So we had her dedicated and then I left and took her back to the hospital for her check up. I had to wait 2 hours to see the doctor (yuck), but she checked Maggie's breathing and her chest and everything is good. Her coughing will continue for another 2 weeks or so, but she is on the road to recovery. Praise the Lord. I also have an appointment on the 23rd of August for the outpatient clinic at the hospital so it will be good to let the doctors have another look in a week.

Maggie's dedication went pretty well. It wasnt too crazy! Dave was a bit hard to control!!!! In fact, I think he provided entertainment for most of the church!!! Noah did well and I was very proud of him. I am glad we went ahead and did it because we are travelling so much in the next few months. Maggie got to wear the cute little outfit that my mom bought her and she looked so pretty!

She has had a pretty good day. Sundays are always difficult with church and broken routines. She is sleeping now and Shane has taken the kids to visit Cooper at Uncle Pete's house. Nice to have some time to rest. Tomorrow, Shane is off from work and both the boys are off to school. It will be good to just have a restful day at home with Maggie. Tuesday, Noah is at school and Shane organized Dave to go back to Ms. Kacee's house so I will have another day to rest. With being in and out of the hospital, I havent been able to take my vitamins and iron medicine like I normally would and I think I am really starting to feel the effects of it all, especially when combined with all the sleepless nights.

I will try and post some pictures of Shane's trip and give you an update on that tomorrow. He had an awesome trip, and I am looking forward to telling you all about it. The photos are fantastic and I'm sure you will enjoy looking at them. BUT it will have to wait till tomorrow!!!!
