Praise and Prayer

PRAISE
  • Shane had a successful trip to Asia for his training. The training was both beneficial and invaluable as we look forward to the work we will be doing. He is looking at putting some of the training into practice even before we leave next year and is organising a group of guys to meet with regularly.
  • As many of you already know, Shane also re-visited one of the areas and teams that we could potentially be working with. The Lord has provided much clarity for us and we are just really continuing to seek Him through prayer as we seek further direction as to which people group He would have us work with.
  • Maggie is on the road to recovery. As soon as Shane left for his trip overseas, Maggie began getting sick. She ended up spending 4 nights in the hospital with severe colic and bronchitis. We are so thankful to the Lord that she is recovering well and getting back to normal.
  • In one week, Shane will have finished another class in his studies towards his Master's Degree! YAY!!! Only 4 more to go!
PRAYER

  • Please pray with us as we continue to seek clarity on our future direction. We know that we will be spending the first 18months studying language and culture. We have not yet chosen a people group to work amongst. Pray that the Lord would give us wisdom in this decision making process and that we would wait on Him to show us the way.
  • We leave on September 9th for our deputation trip to North Queensland and will return to Bundaberg September 30th. All of our Sundays are full and our weekdays are filling up as well. Please pray for our family as we travel. Pray for stability for our children while we are on the road. Pray also for Shane's parents who will be travelling with us.
  • Please pray for God to raise up our team of both prayer and financial supporters. We are currently at 8% of our required financial support. We are trusting the Lord with His timing, and praying too, that the Lord will move the hearts of people to join us in this work among the unreached peoples of Asia. It is so great to have friends directly involved in this ministry with us.
  • Please pray for Shane as he prepares for his final exam in his current class. He then starts classes again on September 6th. He will be studying Romans and Spiritual Formation this semester.
  • Pray that Shane and I would continue to spend time each day together in God's Word and in Prayer. This is so important if we are going to survive on the field.
Thanks so much for all of your prayers and your support. We are blessed beyond measure!
