Overwhelmed...

So much material,
So much to learn,
So much to change,
An overwhelming concern.

"Something is better than nothing,"
We are told.
And, again, wisdom and understanding
Are better than gold.

Where do I begin? I"m not even thin!
I move one step forward-two back,
I find my priorities all out of whack.
I want to be on the right track.

Pray for me, I need it so,
For I've a long way to go.
Many things are obvious today,
The answer to this dilemma-PRAY!

Yeah...I've been feeling so overwhelmed lately. This past week I really felt as if I was literally running from one thing to the next. And you know what-I'm exhausted! Today, I have been reminded that our priorities can so easily get out of whack! I've been challenged to take a bit of time for myself...time to just rest and time that I can spend with the Lord each day. Regular time with God should be my ultimate priority.

O God, You are my God;
Early will I seek You;
My sould thirsts for You;
My flesh longs for You
In a dry and thirsty land
Where there is no water
Psalm 63:1
